CURRENT VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AVAILABLE

 CommunICA

CommunICA offers social support, friendship and bridges a communication gap for people who are lonely, isolated, temporarily seperated form family. Support is offered by means of a telephone call, to provide friendship and onfgoing communication. Calls are made from Ipswich Community Aid by volunteers who are screened, trained and matched appropiately with clients. The current days that are avaialable are Tuesday after 1pm, wednesday any time and Friday till 1pm.

Community Visitors Scheme

Commununity visitors visit people living in aged care homes who have been identified as being lonely or socially isolated. We will match you with the right resident taking into consideration your interests the residents interest and your background. Community visitors find that they enjoy the friendship as much as the resident does, and that the relationship is both positive and rewarding 

 Shop Assist

We provide shopping assistance to the elderly residence of the Ipswich area. On occasion some elder person needs someone to assit them in there shopping. If you have patience, compassion, and want to develop a positive and rewarding relationship why don't you give shop assist a go.

Home Visiting

Similiar to Community Visiting, except the visits are at the elderly persons home.
